10 Reasons Why An All Inclusive Boutique Resort Is So Great For FamiliesNadia Carriere
If you travel frequently with your family, chances are you’ve been able to experience and all-inclusive resort. It’s really quite ideal, especially when you’re traveling with a group. Meals, drinks and most activities are included, so there’s never a large bill to pay at the end of your stay. Depending on the resort that you choose, activities are offered for just about every age group. It’s a great vacation choice for multi-generational families for this very reason.
Last fall, I had the chance to check out an all-inclusive boutique resort. I’ve stayed at boutique hotels before and there is a huge difference in terms of amenities, service and “that extra touch,” so I was excited to see if the same would translate during our stay at Azul Beach Resort in Mexico. Turns out, it provided all the perks of an all-inclusive with additional surprises. If you’re considering an all-inclusive boutique resort for your family, here are 10 reasons why I think they’re so great.
Disclosure: I was invited as a guest of Azul Beach Resort to experience their hotel and amenities. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Swinging Beds 1 of 10
Forget the traditional couch, try a swinging bed instead. These provide a luxurious and carefree way to relax.
Unique Suites 2 of 10
Luxury boutique hotels usually have some sort of unique feature with their rooms. How does a swim-up suite sound? Instead of taking your kids to the pool on the other side, all you have to do is unlock the gate off of your balcony and step in!
Added Amenities 3 of 10
Boutique all-inclusive resorts usually go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Azul Beach Resort in Mexico has a partnership with Fisher-Price, so you can choose to have your child's favorite age-appropriate toys ready and waiting in your room before you arrive. Their toy loaning program is a huge hit with families!
Snacks For Everyone 4 of 10
The beauty of an all-inclusive is that all food is included, but what about kids and babies? Cookies, baby food and mini fruit salads are ready and waiting for your little ones. If none of the above suit their fancy, any of the many eateries are more than willing to create something custom.
Popcorn and Fresh Fruit 5 of 10
Popcorn is our family's favorite snack, so I love how they offer the comforts of home here!
Kids Club 6 of 10
Children's play spaces are great, especially when they are created in partnership with a big brand such as Fisher-Price. Boutique all-inclusive properties usually offer a variety of activities and amenities for children of all ages.
Food 7 of 10
The food. Oh my goodness, the food! The difference between an all-inclusive and a boutique all-inclusive is the level of gourmet treats you'll be served. From delectable appetizers to multiple course meals, everything is prepared with an added flair you won't find elsewhere.
Kiddie Spa 8 of 10
We're all familiar with spa services, but did you know that resorts such as Azul Beach offer spa offerings just for kids? Candy scented creams and bubble gum pink or sky blue decor appeal to boys and girls. It's a fun way to treat your kids to a little bit of R&R.
Beach Beds 9 of 10
Sheltered from the wind and sun, these beach beds and swings are positively dreamy! I've been to many resorts, but this was the first time I'd ever seen beds and swings by the ocean. If you've ever experienced a day at the beach with children of various ages, you know that the younger ones have a tendency to tire out quickly. These beds provide a sheltered area for you to lay them down; you don't have to disrupt anyone else's play. It's quite the genius idea for families!
The View 10 of 10
And of course, I couldn't leave out the view. Boutique resorts tend to be located on the best spots! Take a look at this shot from my trip to Mexico. The water was stunningly gorgeous and the beach immaculate!
