Did you make it outside to catch the supermoon on Sunday? While it definitely looked brighter and slightly larger from where I was, I only wish that I could have had a view like this. The moon was at its closest point to the Earth for the year on Sunday evening and appeared 8% larger and 17% brighter in the sky. If you missed it, don’t worry just hang tight until August 10, 2014 when it is supposed to be even closer to the Earth.
