Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Summer Activities for Kids

In the heart of Seattle is the amazing Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center and this summer they are packed to the brim with activities for kids. Take them for a trip they surely won’t forget where fun and education are combined in new and refreshing ways. Through games children are challenged to come up with fresh new ways to solve the problems throughout the world. Families can come for story time and do crafts together to help expand their creativity and most importantly – have a blast!

    Children are encouraged to expand their minds to find ways to help the world. In this activity, they try to carry heavy buckets that kids in developing countries have to carry each day.

    What foundation would you create with a billion dollars? Kids are asked to create a foundation and share it on the "Share Your Cause Tree."

    Play a digital game that allows kids to try and come up with a way in which they can eradicate polio around the world.

    Summer Storytelling happens every second Saturday at 11AM and is filled with inspiring stories of kids who stand up for what they think is right.

    Family Day Series are Saturday events where families can come together for crafts, speakers, and fun activities. Their previous Family Day: Kick it Forward can be seen here. The next one takes place on September 28, 2013.
