The Hottest New Trend at Sea: Concerts on Carnival Cruise Lines

Screen Shot 2014-01-23 at 9.40.00 PMCruise lines are adding more and more activities and features to their itineraries. From golfing to water parks, yoga classes and rope courses, these days you can do just about anything on a cruise ship while sailing in the middle of the ocean. A couple of days ago, Carnival made an announcement that will get music fans dancing for joy!

In 2014, the line will be introducing a concept that is the first-of-its-kind in the cruise industry. The Carnival LIVE Concert Series will bring popular music artists to sea throuhgout 2014.

So far, 49 dates have been booked! Some of the artists include:

  • Daughtry
  • Foreigner
  • Gavin DeGraw
  • Jennifer Hudson
  • Jewel
  • Kansas
  • Lady Antebellum
  • LeAnn Rimes
  • Martina McBride
  • Olivia Newton-John
  • Trace Adkins

and more…

Eight Carnival ships will offer these concerts starting April 2014. However, don’t expect the artists to be sailing with you throughout the cruise! Artists will come onboard while the ship is in port, perform in the main show lounge that evening, and then leave the ship following the show.

You’ll be able to purchase tickets through the online Shore Excursion System at $20-40 each. VIP tickets are also available and will run at $100-$150 each. This includes a meet and greet with the artist, seating in the first three rows, a photo opp, and a commemorative laminated concert pass.

Visit Carnival Cruise Lines to check out the full list of 2014 concert dates!
