As I kid, I had the grand pleasure of watching the magical electrical parades and fireworks at Disney’s American theme parks, yet I’ve never seen anything like the Disneyland Paris 20th anniversary celebration.
In particular, there is one key event that takes place at the end of your day at the Disneyland Paris park: A spectacular nighttime show filled with dancing fountains, fireworks, lasers, controlled fire, and some never-before-seen special effects. In the past, such elaborate events were limited to very special occasions, but this extravaganza-after-dark takes place every night throughout the summer of the park’s 20th anniversary year.
And since the Disneyland Paris 20th anniversary celebration has been extended to September 30, 2013, I’m teased by the idea of heading back to Paris for a summer family vacation — and topping it off with another visit to Disneyland Paris.
But let’s be honest with ourselves here. After a visit to Disneyland, one walks away with a few ideas about how to make the next visit to land of Mickey Mouse even more special. So I decided that the ultimate way to see and be a part of the Magic Kingdom on our next trip would be to stay in one of the on-site Disney hotels adjacent to the park. Why? Because guests are allowed early entrance into Disneyland Paris. Even during high season, entrance is granted to hotel guests at least two hours before everyone else. And an extra two hours in Disneyland Paris is certainly a dream bonus for any family!
