Are you trying to choose a cruise for an upcoming vacation? What if I told you that if for some reason you don’t like your cruise, you could get all of your money back and paid transportation home? I have never, ever seen a guarantee this good, in fact I think this is a first in the entire tourism industry.
Last week, Carnival Cruise Lines unveiled a new program that has completely blown my mind. If you book a vacation with Carnival, you will be backed by their “Great Vacation Guarantee,” which allows you to end your vacation early AND receive a 110% refund plus complimentary transportation home and a $100 shipboard credit to be used on a future cruise. This guarantee comes into effect if you are dissatisfied with their cruise for any reason.
So how does it work? All you have to do is notify the ship’s guest services when you arrive on board.
“To exercise the “Great Vacation Guarantee,” guests simply notify the ship’s guest services desk within the first 24 hours of their voyage to receive a full refund of their cruise fare plus an additional 10 percent, along with complimentary return air transportation from the next port of call, and complimentary ground transportation and hotel accommodations (if necessary), along with a $100 shipboard credit to be used on a future Carnival cruise. Carnival will fully handle all the necessary travel arrangements to make it a truly hassle-free experience.”
This guarantee is good on all voyages from 3-8 days in length sailing to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Canada and New England departing through April 30, 2015. The program applies to U.S. and Canadian residents only and guests must possess a valid passport to return to the U.S. by air.
Color me impressed. This isn’t the first time Carnival has shocked me. The line is clearly working hard to create a new image for themselves!
