When you think about Las Vegas, three things usually come to mind – parties, showgirls and gambling. I visit this city each year for business and none of those three things appeal to me in the least. During my last trip to Vegas, I was able to mix business with a little pleasure thanks to a little bit of planning beforehand. I also learned about several shows that I would have loved to check out had there been more time to do so.
Las Vegas can definitely be Sin City, but then again, couldn’t any location? The destination is yours to discover, and Las Vegas has so much more to offer than what it’s famous for.
If you’re looking to experience the city from a different angle, here are 10 things you may want to consider during your next trip to Las Vegas.
You can't visit Las Vegas, without staying at the famed Caesar's Palace
. It's legendary. From the celebrities who have stayed there, to the memorable shows and exquisite architecture, this is one hot spot you don't want to miss!
While you're visiting Caesar's, you need to check out the Forum Shops
! Walk underneath the stars (at night) or the stunning sky thanks to the painted ceilings that mimic the heavens in such a way you'd swear it was real. All the shops here are on the higher end. Jimmy Choo anyone?
Looking for a place to stay? Caesar's new Laurel Collection
is outstanding and blows their regular rooms out of the water with the incredible decor and lofty beds. Located in a private corridor at Caesar's, offering private valet entrance and direct access to the Garden of the Gods pool, this is an experience all on its own!
Las Vegas is infamously known for their buffets and each hotel swears they have the best one. Bellagio's has received top honours for years, but a newcomer is stealing the show and frankly, I'm not sure if any other buffet in Sin City can beat it. The Bacchanal Buffet
WILL rock your world with their gourmet offerings that never seem to end. It's an experience that may last you hours if you aren't careful!
Champagne For Breakfast
When you're in Vegas, Champagne for breakfast is a must! Payard Patisserie and Bistro
at Caesar's Palace has some of the most delicious delicacies you could ever put in your mouth. Forkfuls of croissants, fluffy eggs and special mouth watering creations you'll only find here.
Yes, I know, I know. It's all about the food! But isn't it? Serendipity is infamous for its frozen hot chocolate and let me tell you, after 10 years of pining away for this dessert and finally tasting it myself - I can see what all the fuss is about!
While you're in Vegas, make sure you take in a show or two. Caesar's Palace has Shania Twain and Celine Dion (two legends) performing year-round, while many of the other hotels feature musicals, Cirque de Soleil shows and other concerts you won't want to miss!
