Picfari: Perfect Your Travel Photos Regardless Of Your Photo Taking Ability

Picfari_logoMy passion for photography was ignited the day I became a mother. Looking to capture every second of my child’s life became a passion turned hobby and it has translated in other aspects of my life including travel. I’m not a professional by any means, however I am always trying to improve on my abilities and like everyone – looking for that perfect shot.

Picfari is a new website that provides answers to many of our prayers. Heading to Egypt and want to take the perfect shot of the pyramids? Picfari will not only tell you the exact f-stops and camera settings to do so, it will locate the exact spot in which to do so!

Essentially Picfari is the perfect mash-up of travel and photography, providing can’t-miss photo opps for popular destinations around the world. You can sift through over 15,000 photos in 350 top tourist spots around the world featuring landmarks and must-visit sights and add your own to the bunch. Each one of these shots are coded with accurate GPS/mapping technology so you can easily locate and find the “just right” photo locations as shown on the site. Shutter speeds, filters and other instructions are also specified.

You can upload your photos to create new Picfaris or tag on to existing Picfaris to share with the community and your friends. The great thing about Picfari is that you can use it regardless of the camera you shoot with, whether it by your iPhone, DSLR or a point-and-shoot.

Dreamy isn’t it?

Of course, I was one of the first to sign up for this neat site and have just started to play around with it. I can tell you right now this is going to be one of my go-to resources before, during and after my travels.
