The Map Dress ~ A Work Of Art Designed By Elisabeth Lecourt

13_pierre-verte-rubis-rougeI’m a sucker for anything vintage – especially when it come to travel related items. Elisabeth Lecourt is a designer and artist based out of London, England and she’s created a work of art that is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Lecourt has located vintage maps from cities from around the world including London, Paris, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia and many more and has used them to create the Les Robes Géographiques collection. The pleats along the bottom of these dresses have been folded in such a way as to not distort the image, so you are left with a full map view. Some of these frocks even have embellishements such as bows and buttons and yes this is all created with paper!

A shame that they aren’t wearable. I would be first in line to pick up one of these beautiful pieces! Click through to see the entire collection. For more information or if you would like to order your own custom map dress, please contact Elisabeth Lecourt directly. Prices are available upon request.
