Underwater Village in Mexico

While you’re taking a dip off the coast of Cancun make sure to look down at the ocean floor to see a life-size village at your feet. This village consists of 450 sculptures and is called the Museo Subacuático de Arte. Artist, Jason deCaires Taylor, was the brains behind these sculptures that stand as a symbol of the relationship between man and nature. They also serve as a way to move tourism away from the natural reefs to promote reef growth and activity.

See more photos of the Underwater Sculptures and find out how you can visit them on Jason deCaires Taylor.
