10 Free Things to Do With Your Kids in Washington D.C. this Summer

One of my favorite parts about living in the Washington D.C. area is how many cool things there are to do for free.

Yes, free.

I also obsessively take pictures of the Washington Monument.

I know, I am spoiled. I was shocked when we went to New York and I had to pay to get into the Museum of Modern Art. (That wasn’t cheap either!) I cannot imagine trying to take a family of six into the Guggenheim. We are so lucky here. I’ve actually used  the D.C.’s Museum of Natural History — kid in tow — as a FREE way to kill time while waiting for friends. But museums aren’t the only things free for families in my area … discover more after the jump!

There is no way I can fit all of the wonderful free activities in D.C. in one post!

Tell me in the comments below: What are your family’s favorite free things to do in your city?
