My mother used to include a little handwritten note in my lunch when I was little. It was usually encouragement for the day with a cute little drawing. They always brightened my lunch hour, and I was always excited to tear into my lunch wondering what she’d written for me that particular day. I’ve continued the tradition for my daughter this year as she enters first grade. Sometimes the note is a fancy printable, and other times it’s just a small index card that reads “Have a great day! We love you!” Today I’m sharing some of the cute printable and note traditions from around the web that surprise kids as they open up their lunches. Maybe your child buys their lunch at school?  That’s okay too…slip the note into their backpack or a jacket pocket and remind them to read it at some point in the day.
