Best Breastfeeding Spots at Disneyland

The idea of nursing a baby during a long day at a theme park can be a bit daunting. However, there are some great attractions at both Disneyland and California Adventure that provide moms with a secluded spot to feed baby – and several of them are spots that will keep older siblings entertained as well.

Here are some of my tried-and-tested favorite spots to nurse at Disneyland and California Adventure:

  • Disneyland Railroad 1 of 6
The Disneyland Railroad was always my favorite place to nurse at Disneyland. (Here I am with my sister-in-law, nursing our daughters). I like the train because it circles the park continuously, so your nursing session can last as long as you want. There are enough sights on the ride that siblings will be entertained, and you can hop on and off whenever you like.
  • It’s A Small World 2 of 6
It's A Small World is a nice, peaceful boat ride that is long enough for a good nursing session. The lines can be long, though, so you may want to get in line well before your baby's feeding time to avoid a meltdown. You can download the Verizon Disneyland app to check wait times to try to schedule your feeding around the ride.
  • Pirates of the Carribean 3 of 6
Pirates is another long ride that is suitable for nursing and entertaining for older siblings. Other longer rides include Storybook Land Canal Boats and the Jungle Cruise.
  • Animation Courtyard 4 of 6
The Anmation Courtyard at California Adventure is another great spot where you can sit and nurse for a long time, and the lack of lines make it a great spot when you've got a hungry baby who wants to eat NOW. The continuous Disney movie clips will give other guests with you something to watch while you feed the baby.
  • Baby Care Center 5 of 6
Disneyland has a well-equipped Baby Care Center with rocking chairs and quiet rooms appointed just for nursing moms. It's a great place for babies who need quiet for their feeding. The downside is that only nursing moms and babies may go inside - siblings and partners must wait outside.
  • Redwood Creek Challenge Trail 6 of 6
Another potential nursing spot for moms with older kids at California Adventure is the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. It's a vast and shaded playground with several benches where mom can get in a nursing session while older kids play.

A big thanks to Verizon  for sponsoring this campaign. If you are planning a visit, check out the Verizon app for Disneyland, which includes maps, line estimates, and even menus to each restaurant in the park. Click here to see more of the discussion.
