Hiding the muffin top: six stylish looks for the post-baby belly

You might be a couple months post-partum, and struggling with a lingering bump where the baby used to be.  Or, like me, you may be several years out from having kids, and resigned to the fact that the space where your children once lived is permanently stretched and, despite your best efforts, not going anywhere.  Either way, many of us are dealing with the dreaded “muffin top” after having kids, yet still want to look our best.   Here are a couple of my favorite looks for hiding the post-baby belly without resorting to a muu-muu.

  • The Dolman Top 1 of 7
A dolman-style top is a great way to camouflage a muffin-top without sacrificing style.
  • The Bohemian Top 2 of 7

A flowing boho top over skinny jeans is an on-trend look. I like to pair flowing tops with a 31 Bits necklace and my Toms wedges.

  • The Flow-y Tee 3 of 7
Breezy, flow-y tops are very in vogue this season, and they are also the perfect way to camouflage a tummy. It's a great alternative to the basic fitted tee and can be dressed up with a casual necklace (like 31 Bits).
  • The Blazer 4 of 7
A blazer over a busy top is a great way to mask a muffin top. I like to pair concert tees with 80's-inspired blazers for a night-time look.
  • The Cardigan 5 of 7
For an every-day style, try pairing an oversized cardigan over your favorite tee.
  • The Vest 6 of 7
A vest is another way to hide a bothersome tummy. With a crisp white tee, it makes for a fun preppy look.
  • The Perfect Jean 7 of 7
A good-fitting pair of jeans is a must for making sure you don't have spillage at the waist. Levi's Curve ID has three different fits in the tummy/seat area to make sure you can find the perfect fit for your body in any style of jeans.

A big thanks to Levi’s for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
