I am what you would call an impulse bargain hunter. This means that while I’ll sit and stew over expensive purchases for months and months and months, the minute I spy a cheap version of something, whether or not I need it, I’ll buy it before even thinking twice. (Hello Forever 21 habit!) So while I’d heard from friends what a life changer the Clarisonic Mia face brush was, and while I was dutifully doing my pondering and praying over the possibility of taking the purchasing plunge, I randomly came across an Olay face brush for only $30 at the Costco and, yup, I bought it before I’d even bothered to wonder whether I should just put that $30 toward the actual brush I was supposed to be saving for. You know how these things go.
So a few months later and I was given this rad little column here and I thought, well hot dang, I’m going to find out once and for all if I should have splurged on that Clarisonic like I always figured I should have, or if this bargain option is actually every bit as good as the real thing. Dang it! Think of the world’s problems I’d be solving!
So… I did it. AND OH BOY DO I HAVE SOME OPINIONS FOR YOU.
My editors asked me to make a video of it, which, look, I’m about to make a real fool of myself. But please!
