Where To Find Princesses at the Disneyland Resort

where to find Disney Princesses in disneyland and california adventureIf you have a girl, like I do, you know that a trip to Disneyland means making sure you find a Princess to look straight into your little one’s eyes. Disneyland makes sure the Princess magic is felt all over the resort and you get to see them aboard floats on parades, in shows and rides. But there’s nothing like getting a one-to-one moment  between your girl and their favorite Princess, accompanied by a keepsake picture and autograph.

I live close enough to Disneyland to have visited many, many times already, but I usually head out there with my girl and no real plan of action. Needless to say, we usually miss out on the best moments to catch the Princesses and fill my girl’s autograph book with their magical signatures. I’ve finally realized I can use a smartphone (insert a duh moment here!) and download Verizon’s Disney Mobile Magic app and track where and when all my girl’s favorite Princesses — like Aurora — are going to be in at the Disneyland Resorts. We can now be official Princess-stalkers and bask in the glory of our Princess picture and autograph collection. Muahahahhaa!

If you also have a Disney Princess-obsessed girl, I suggest you map out a plan to stalk find her favorite Princesses and she will love you forever and ever and ever and ever…

4 Required Stops to Find Princesses at the Disneyland Resort

  • Disney Princess Fantasy Faire 1 of 4
Your first and required stop to mingle with the Disney Princesses has to be the Disney Princess Fantasy Faire. In fact, you can actually get there as soon as you enter the park and avoid the crowds if you hop on board the Disneyland Railroad on Main Street and get off at the Mickey´s Toon Town station which is right next to Fantasy Faire.

Check the schedules on the Entertainment Times Guide or your Disney Magic Mobile app so you can be sure there will be Princesses at the greeting pathway when you get there. There are usually three Princesses there at a time and they each take pictures and greet one-by-one each of the guests. It´s definitely an intimate Princess experience.

Then the kids can join the Princesses in story time, dance and song. It's very special.

  • Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration 2 of 4
Located at the entrance of Paradise Pier at Disney California Adventure, Ariel´s Grotto has to be my favorite place to encounter the Disney Princesses. For one, it's air-conditioned and an oasis from the crowds. Plan to make a reservation in advance and to arrive on an empty stomach ready to delight on a fixed-price feast, including a delicious dessert tower! Yes, it is pricey, but the convenience, good food and memories make it worth it.

The magic of this Princess Celebration is that your children will be in awe when Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty come one-by-one up to their table to spend some time with them. Each Princess really does take the time to talk to each of the kids, take many pictures and give autographs.

  • Pixie Hollow — Tinker Bell and her Fairy Friends 3 of 4
These are Fairies, not Princesses, but rarely is there a girl that loves one and not the other. Tinkerbell, Fawn, Iridessa, and Rossetta await to greet kids inside Pixie Hollow, located on the pathway next to the Matterhorn. It´s a bit easy to miss if you´re not looking for it, so the let the Mobile Magic app guide your way.

Oh, and don't let the long line discourage you if it seems like it's not moving. They let people in by groups, so you will all go in at once when the turn comes around every 30-45 minutes.

  • Rapunzel and Flynn Rider 4 of 4
Little ones can meet the stars of Tangled -- Rapunzel and Flynn Rider -- if you head over to the room between Pinocchio's Daring Journey and Village Haus in Fantasyland. It gets crowded, so make sure you check the times and get there early to meet Flynn and Rapunzel.
