11 Ways to Spend Mother’s Day With Your FamilyLauren Jimeson
Mother’s Day is this Sunday and while it is a day to celebrate moms, I believe it is also a day to celebrate the people that made us mothers. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Mother’s day than with my family. I want to make it a day that we are all together doing things that we love to do.
Last year was my first Mother’s Day with two kids. Avery was only a few months old at the time and the only thing that I wanted to do the entire day was sleep. We were still in the newborn and not sleeping stage and I was so exhausted from getting up several times in the middle of the night. This year, with everyone older, I can’t wait to get out of bed and enjoy our day together. There are so many ways to spend mother’s day with your family, it’s hard to pick just one!

Wake up to the crisp beautiful morning air and enjoy your favorite breakfast outside with your family. I love walking to Central Park with my family for a nice breakfast outside at our favorite restaurant.
Take a Family Walk 5 of 12
Living in the city, we walk everywhere. Usually it's to get from point A to point B and rarely just to get outside and leisurely walk around. I'd love to go on a family walk and enjoy the beautiful city we live in with no agenda at all!
Grab a Sweet Treat 6 of 12
I have a major sweet tooth. So do my girls. Taking a family trip to the local candy store or ice cream shop let's us all indulge in a sweet treat.
Game Time 7 of 12
Grab a board game that everyone can play and have a family game night. This is one of our favorite things to do and would be a great ending to Mother's Day.
Make it a Gym Day 8 of 12
This might sound a little bit crazy, but I would love to go to the gym with my family on Mother's Day. Everyone in our family loves going and each of us enjoys it for a different reason. As long as everyone is having fun, it's okay with me!
Lazy Day Inside 9 of 12
Sometimes after a busy week, all you want to do on the weekend is be a little bit lazy. Mother's Day is a perfect excuse to do it. Stay in your pajamas all day and cuddle up on the couch watching your favorite movies and munching on snacks together as a family.

There is nothing better than doing a little shopping on a day that is all about you. Take the family to one of your favorite stores so that they can help you pick out something for yourself.
