13 Vacation Essentials for MomCasi Densmore-Koon
This weekend we are going for a mini vacay (eeekkkk!), and I couldn’t be more excited! First off, it’s a weekend away at Busch Gardens. Second, it’s Grayson’s first trip away from home. As a big fan of Elmo, I think he is going to be excited to be pushed around in the stroller all day while enjoying the warm weather.
We decided to pull our older girls out of school early on Friday and leave in the morning so we could beat traffic. Our hotel has an outdoor pool, and because temps will be hitting 90 degrees or so, I am sure we will be poolside most of the evening. We haven’t taken a trip since I was pregnant with Grayson last June, so it will be a lot fun to have him with us this weekend. That said, I am already gathering things up to get packing. When you have a large family, getting a head-start on things like prepping for a vacation — even if it’s just a weekend away — will help you feel less stressed in the end.
Although lots of mamas worry most about what to pack for their kids, it’s important to think of ourselves too! From the perfect tote bag to a cute bathing suit, the essentials aren’t tough to round up. I’ve got everything you need to help make your vacation go smoothly. Here’s what I plan to take on my weekend getaway!

It comes in so many color options too! It is ultra-lightweight and great for when you are on-the-go. Bonus: It is great to hold on to baby even closer when you are in the pool!
