Breastfeeding Addie is Like Wrestling an AlligatorDanielle
Ever wonder what it is like to wrestle an alligator?
Well if you want to come over and try to nurse Addsion — have at it! I swear every day that passes as she is getting more mobile I am channeling Steve Erwin from the grave. I am half tempted to go back and look through some old episodes of the Crocodile Hunter for pointers!
The only time she isn’t trying to kick me in the face or crawl away with my boob in her mouth is in the middle of the night when she wakes up to nurse till she falls back to sleep.
I am praying she will calm down while nursing soon although my hopes aren’t very high.
Even though it has become such a project some days… we have no plans to stop anytime soon. The moment when she looks up at me with her big brown eyes just makes my heart melt. I will honestly be sad the day she weans.
Getting Kicked in the Face 1 of 5The highlight of my morning nursing sessions with a fully energized baby who slept a whole 4 hours includes dodging kicks to the face.
I am STILL trying to figure out HOW it is physically possible.
STRETCCCCCCCH! 2 of 5She thinks my boobs are portable.
She thinks she can just pop one in her mouth and go... across the room!
Then actually gets MAD when it doesn't reach... True story!
CHOMP CHOMP! 3 of 5Oh she might only have TWO teeth but she USES them!
Even when she is not eating SOLID food!
My poor boobs are waving the white flag on the biting thing!
SQUIRREL! 4 of 5Ever watch the movie Up?
You know the dog who can't focus for more than three seconds?
Yeah that is Addie while she is nursing which in turn exposes my boob and sprays milk all over her face and in her hair.

The Calm Before the Storm… 5 of 5About 30 seconds after this picture was taken I was headbutted.
This is a common occurrence during our nursing sessions.
Except now it hurts twice as much because of her helmet!
