Fancy Enough, Yet Comfy Enough: Outfits for a Relaxed Christmas Day

It wouldn’t be the holidays without a very fancy outfit to wear to parties and the special Christmas Eve service we attend, but once all those special events are over, and Christmas Day rolls around, what we really want is to relax and enjoy the day together as a family. I love the idea of having my girls wear special holiday pajamas suitable for the moment they see what Santa brought, and after that, I just want them to be in outfits that are right for playing the day away, pausing for a good meal somewhere along the way. It’s nice to be a little bit fancy since it’s a holiday, and Zinashi in particular wouldn’t have it any other way, but we don’t need to go all out. Here’s what I have in mind.

Normally Elvie is just in a onesie and legwarmers for bedtime, but on Christmas morning, she should have something special and festive to find out what Santa brought. This cute nightgown will be just right.

Zinashi is really into Christmas and really into choosing her own outfits. With a set of reindeer jammies that can be mixed and matched, we really can't go wrong.

This sweater dress is the perfect place to start for an outfit that's festive but still comfy. Add socks, shoes, and a headband, and she's all set to relax and enjoy the holiday in style.
  • A Combo of Bling and Animal Print for Zinashi 4 of 4

If it's not fancy, Zinashi doesn't want to wear it. Luckily, there's a dress that is comfortable but has both sequins and ruffles, then shiny leggings and a hair flower with a giant rhinestone to top it off. On her feet? Furry dalmatian slipper boots, of course. This Christmas will be fabulous!
