Successful Family Movie Night? Mission Accomplished with DISHCasi Densmore-Koon
Tonight, to celebrate the first day of December, we are having a family movie night. To be honest — this doesn’t happen nearly as much as it should. But, when you have a large family, it’s hard with our schedule to pull everyone together in the same room. Not to mention there is hardly ever a day you can pull me from the computer.
For once everyone agreed on one movie for the evening; Elf. Mainly because our Elf on the Shelf, Buddy, arrived this morning and they we all thought it was fitting for the evening. First day of December and all. So — I headed out to a few places to pick it up on DVD since we seemed to have misplaced it. Our 18-month-old thinks DVD’s are toys these days. You would think with it being the holidays and all that Elf would be a fairly easy movie to find. Think again. I can’t home to very disappointed faces. I found pretty much every holiday movie except Elf. Apparently it’s popular!
This is when DISH saved us. Elf was On Demand! Which means, all we had to do is hit play from our box. Wooohooo! Happy littles equals happy parents! Family movie night became an instant success. Quite honestly, I am not sure if we could have all agreed on another movie. Needless to say, we are thankful for On Demand tonight! Which means we may try for family night more often.
