6 Things I Am Grateful For in 2012Casi Densmore-Koon
It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. Gosh, where does the time go? I really wish I could freeze it. My oldest will be 10 next month. That is just mind-blowing. And my newborn isn’t such a newborn anymore — he’s almost 3 months old now. Seriously, it just goes too fast these days. 2012 definitely had its ups and downs, for sure. The high-risk pregnancy that caused 6 hospital stays wasn’t my favorite. But being named Mompreneur of the Month by Tori Spelling and getting this wonderful job with Babble — oh, and having a baby — well, they made 2012 rock. But there are so many things every year I take a moment to be grateful for — always.
Grayson, My First Baby Boy 1 of 6I am beyond thankful that my very scary and high-risk pregnancy resulted in a perfect baby boy. After 4 girls, it was an indescribable joy to welcome a son. At first, I was nervous on just what I was going to do with a boy after 4 girls. But, everything fell into place and our little family is just perfect. After the many nights in the hospital, tears and unbearable stress over whether or not he was going to make it - I am so happy to be able to kiss and hug him every single day. And sometimes, just stare into those beautiful blue eyes for hours.

My Little Family 2 of 6Well, not so little. Every day, even between the chaos, my littles bring so many smiles to my face. They make me laugh everyday. They make me feel endless love. They are just amazing. I am honored and so lucky to be their Mom.
My Support System 3 of 6My parents and sister have been there every step of the way. At the last minute they would take my girls when I was, yet again, stuck in the hospital with my pregnancy. In a minute they will stop everything and we pull through as a family. Everyone always asks how I do it. Well, I can tell you one thing -- I wouldn't be able to do it without an amazing support system like the three of them.

The BEST Friends. EVER. 4 of 6Over this past summer, I was on bed rest for what felt like an eternity. I could NOT have gotten through it without the help, support and prayers from my friends. They texted, called, and emailed every single day. In moments where I felt like "why is this happening to me?" they were always there to make me see the positive. They prayed. They always were supportive. They still are just amazing. I have the best group of friends anyone could ask for, and without them, well - I don't know what I would do. My best friend Kim, who also had a life threatening complication with her pregnancy, was my rock. From the endless rantings to the many similarities we share in life, she was always there. I have cherished her as one of my best friends in my lifetime. Quite honestly, I am not sure how I made it through the world before having her by my side! We have had an amazing time together. From the breathtaking photographs she has captured of my family to constant conversations each day, I just love her and I am blessed to have such a great friend. All of my friends -- cheers to you!

Babble 5 of 6I may lose hours at sleep at night, and it can be a little bit stressful at times having a full-time business and a big family and blogging daily for Babble. But I wouldn't have it any other way! I absolutely love the people I have met here, my amazing co-workers -- the best a girl could ask for. And I love the experiences it has given me. I will say, I think it was a life-changing event for me in 2012. I am so thankful everyday for my writing gig here. I am so passionate about my work and Babble, so it's a privilege to be one of the 100 bloggers here.
