When Do You First Cut Baby’s Hair?

Y’all know I have a bald baby. I have whined talked at length about it. I actually don’t mind that he’s bald, I adore his soft and fuzzy head, I just don’t necessarily love strangers constantly telling me all about it. But I digress.

I have a bit of a conundrum. The kid is has no hair, except two unusually long patches behind his ears. I have to admit that before I had a baby, I judged parents of babies with uneven hair, thinking why don’t they just cut it!? If only it were that simple.

As a parent, I find Tate’s hair both endearing and off putting. At times it leaves him looking completely disheveled and a bit like an old man. Though at other times, I can’t imagine removing such a distinctive part of him. You should see it blow in the wind, it’s kind of ridiculously adorable.

At the end of the day, the real issue is that the husband and I disagree on what to do about his hair. He argues that you can’t cut what little hair a bald man has, and I think it’s time to trim it up.

I need your advice! What would you do? Cut it off or let it be?
