Drew Barrymore’s Makeup Tips for Moms

Drew Barrymore has come a long way since we first fell in love with her in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial over thirty years ago. Having grown up in a makeup chair, it’s not surprising she developed a passion for both the aspirational nature of makeup and the message of empowerment it evokes. Now an admired business woman and mom to 11-month old Olive, Barrymore wants to give women the quality ingredients she’s come to value in her new affordable and accessible cosmetics line FLOWER, available at Walmart and Walmart.com. She’s also sharing her makeup tips for moms that she’s learned over the years to help us look and feel our best with with “Tip Tuesday” on FLOWERbeauty.com. Here’s her relatable 2 Minute Makeup for Moms:

TheBump.com has even more of Barrymore’s tips, a peek inside her makeup bag, and deets on which trendsetters she admires most. Here’s a snippet:

For moms who are short on sleep and time, do you have any everyday recommendations for how they can feel like themselves again?

Drew Barrymore: I’ll try to do a workout DVD at home while Olive is napping every once in a while. It’s also good to start wearing more fitted clothes again because I don’t know about you, but I dressed like “Frumpy Mc. Frumpterton.”

What’s in your makeup bag?

Drew Barrymore: Our new FLOWER Glisten Up! Highlighter Chubby that is coming out in January. I put it on my cheekbone, brow bone, a tiny bit down the slope of my nose and a dab on the bow of my lips. It has literally changed the way I do makeup. I love it and I can’t wait for people to try the new product.

What’s the one beauty item you can’t live without?

Drew Barrymore: Concealer. I never leave home without it. I love our Skincognito Stick Foundation, or for something lighter, our Lighten Up! Illuminating Concealer click pen. They’re my go to!

What celeb do you most admire for her makeup (or makeup-free!) style?

Drew Barrymore: I like women who change up their styles. Whether it was Jane Fonda, vintage Madonna, Scarlett Johansson I like reinvention and women who keep you guessing.
