Golden Globes Beauty: How to Get 5 Stunning Celebrity Looks

The Golden Globes is such a fabulous event to track new trends and see how the celebrities are wearing their hair and makeup.  A few things that stuck out to me were the slick ponytails, the minimalist jewelry and the glowing faces.  Everyone seemed to have absolutely flawless skin, and while a lot of it is natural beauty, a lot of it also comes from the way the stars paint their faces. Today I’m diving in and sharing products details and tips on how to get some of my favorite looks from the Golden Globes.  Enjoy!

Eyebrows: Emma has these beautifully thick, structured eyebrows. Using an eyebrow pencil can really help define an eyebrow, especially if it's a little sparse and needs to be filled. Using the other end of this eyebrow pencil can help blend the color and brush the hair so it's left looking very polished

Lips:  The next thing I notice in Emma's look are her bold lips.  I believe she's mixed a couple colors to get that almost coral, almost pink color.  Make sure when doing your lips that you line to prevent any bleed

Finishing touches:  Emma's skin is glowing. Using a light blush and bronzer really completes her look. I love her sleek, low bun and her one earring. I'm sensing a new trend in fashion!

  • Rachel Smith’s Soft Pinks Look 4 of 10

Skin: Rachel's skin is perfection; she looks like a porcelain doll!  To help minimize pores, use the Too Faced primer. It will help makeup go on smoother and give you that even tone. Add a little bronzer to the apples of your cheecks and you're all set!

Eyes: A great palette to get Rachel's soft, colorful look is the Esperanza eyeshadow palette. Using the Placebo color shade, go over the entire eyelid.  Sweep the Selena into the crease and then highlight the brow with Dayglo. Take the Archangel and lightly swipe under the lower lashes and add some Galore to the inner corner of the eyes.  Next use your Stila eyeliner to create a gorgeous and soft cat eye.

Finishing touch: The Marc Jacobs lipgloss is perfect for this look because it adds just enough color yet is still soft and delicate

  • Jennifer Lawrence’s Bold Lips Looks 6 of 10

Lips: To get Jennifer's bold lips, you need a reliable lipliner and lipstick. This lipstick is full of pure pigment and it's long-wearing, perfect for date night or all day at the office.

Eyes: Jennifer is bringing back the frosty blues. It appears that she's using the beautiful Dior Navy Palette. Sweep "sheer glittering pale blue" from lashes to brow and blend "light periwinkle and navy " into crease. Then lightly line the upper and lower lash lines with "matt navy cream" and blend. Next, use your Stila smudge stick on the waterline and finish off with falsies.

Skin: Her skin is literally glowing, thanks the Nars Illuminator. Pat the illuminator right above the apples of your cheeks to give you that glow and finish off with a tiny bit of contour by bronzing right under the apples of the cheeks.

  • Kaley Cuoco’s Greens and Rose Colors Look 8 of 10

Eyes:  This is such a drastic look for Kaley and I love it! Sweep the lighter green over the entire lid and then blend the middle color over the crease. Take that deeper green shimmer and line the top and bottom lids. I find it helpful when creating a cat eye to place a piece of tape at an angle and then apply the shadow. It helps create that definite line and prevent fallout.

Lips and Cheeks:  She's used such a pretty rose color on her cheeks and lips. The Tarte cheek stain will blend so well and the Too Faced lipstick will give a natural-looking lip. To finish it off, highlight above the apples of the cheeks to give them a nice glow.

    To get the look:

    1) Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 Light | $28

    2) Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Trio- helmut | $24

    3) Tarte cheek stain blushing bride | $30

    4) Too Faced La Cream- spice spice baby | $19.50

    5) NARS Illuminator, Copacabana | $30

  • Jaime King’s Neutrals Look 10 of 10

Skin: Jaime's face is straight up porcelain.  She hasn't highlighted or contoured much, but her skin is very creamy and matte-looking.  To achieve this look I recommend the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finished Pressed Powder. It's going to take away most shine and really cover up and even out skin tone and blemishes. Next, add a tiny bit of the Stila convertible color to the cheeks. This is a very sheer tint and will add a beautiful natural glow.

Lips:  Because Jaime has minimal makeup everywhere else, her lips really pop. Using a glossy stain will ensure intense color and extremely long-lasting shine.

Eyes: The Moonshadow Baked Palette from Sephora has a range of nude colors, each with a sparkly finish, perfect to achieve Jaime's look. Dust the first and third color over the entire lid and corners of the eyes and then blend the 2nd, 4th and 8th colors into the crease.

    To get this look:

    1) Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder- Sand | $50

    2) Yves Sint Laurent Glossy Stain | $34

    3) stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream, Peony | $25

    4) Sephora Moonshadow Baked Palette in the Nude | $27
