My Beauty Routine From Start To Finish

My fellow Babble beauty bloggers are consistently sharing their personal beauty routines. I love all of them! I always learn something new when they reveal their tips and tricks. Well … I’ve decided to join the fun and bare it all. In the below slideshow, you will find my daily beauty routine, from start to finish. I keep my routine pretty minimal, and it only takes about 20 minutes (for hair and makeup) to create my fresh-faced look. On most days, I wear my hair in a ponytail, especially when I’m teaching Pilates. However, when not wearing my hair up, I go for my signature California girl beach waves. The soft waves help complement my fresh-faced look.

My biggest beauty tip is less is more. Makeup is meant to enhance your natural beauty, not cover it up. Play up your favorite feature and leave the rest very simple.

  • My Beauty Routine 1 of 8

    It's as easy as 1,2,3!

  • Step 1: Prep The Skin 2 of 8

Step 1: Pat a vitamin C serum all over face and neck

Step 2: Apply SPF moisturizer over face and neck

Srep 3: Apply eye cream under eyes for brightening and hydration

  • Step 2: Base 3 of 8

Step 1: Apply tinted moisturizer with the one perfecting brush

Step 2: Using your ring finger, pat concealer under eyes and over any discoloration or redness

  • Step 3: Set 4 of 8

Set your base with a pressed or loose powder for all day staying power

  • Step 4: Cheek Color 5 of 8

Step 1: Using a cream blush, squeeze a small amount onto the one perfecting brush or blend with fingers

Step 2. Blend up the apple of the cheek

Step 3. I like to set my cream blush with a pressed powder blush that has a subtle amount of shimmer

  • Step 5: Eyes 6 of 8
    Better Eyes

Step 1: Apply cream base coat all over eyelid

Step 2: Blend a pressed powder shadow into the crease of the eyelid (not shown in product picture)

Step 3: Curl lashes, apply 2 coats of mascara, and pencil in eyebrows

  • Step 6: Hair 7 of 8

I let my hair air dry while I do my makeup. I'll apply a quarter amount of prime style extender throughout my hair and finish drying the rest of my hair with a hairdryer.

Step 1: Using a medium style curling iron, wrap a piece of hair starting at the root around the barrel and slowly make your way down the piece of hair.

Step 2: Continue around your head until every piece is curled

Step 3: Turn upside down and shake curls out to make soft waves

Step 4: Set curls with a texturizing hairspray for a little extra texture and hold

  • Final Look 8 of 8

All dolled up and ready to go!
