Apply Primer Shadow 3 of 11
Once foundation is completed, apply a cream based neutral shadow liberally over the entire surface of the eyelid. Using a lighter hue will help prime and dramatically intensify the pigment of darker shadows.
Tip: If you don't have a neutral cream shadow, concealer will also do the trick!
Rich Color 4 of 11
This being New Year's Eve, I thought it'd be dramatic to play with silver and gold in the same look. Using a dark slate (with blue undertones) perfectly offset the gold glitter, making for a dramatic contrast.
Apply Slate Shadow 5 of 11
Using a dense shadow brush, apply a generous amount of shadow to the brush and sweep over the entire surface of the lid, fanning out the edge to just beyond the natural crease.
Shadow Lower Lash Line 6 of 11
Extend the shadow to the under-eye right against the lower lash line approximately one quarter in length.
Blend 7 of 11
Using a soft shadow brush, blend the shadow in a circular motion to soften the shadow line.
Use Liner As A Shadow 8 of 11
I've found that loose glitters are messy, require a lot of extra steps, and need continual touch-ups. I prefer to use liquid glitter liner as a shadow instead, to create a lasting look. Using the brush provided, paint a liberal amount of liner over the entire lid. While glitter is still wet, gently blend with your fingertip.
Line & Highlight 9 of 11
Apply black liquid liner to the upper lid, slightly winging out once you reach the outside corner. Wrap the liner on the bottom water line only one quarter of the way.
Using a highlighter, accentuate natural light on your face, by applying highlights along cheekbones, inside corners of the eyes, under eyebrows, along the bridge of the nose, and under the lower lip. Blend with your finger to soften.
Apply Mascara 10 of 11
Curl lashes and apply several coats of mascara. Applying bold false lashes would also look fabulous with this look. After all, it is New Year's Eve and anything bold goes!
