The Little Black Book of Beauty: 10 Must-Have Beauty ProductsAlli McGinnis
Over the last 10 years, I have lived a very on-the-go lifestyle, which has consisted of flying coast to coast for work in cosmetics and touring the country as an actress in the theater. Over time, I realized I needed to lighten my load and cut back on my beauty products … I mean, do I really need 10 lip products in my handbag? So I got serious and focused on minimizing my beauty products. This made me think about what products really made a difference in my day to day look and what products I absolutely couldn’t live without. I am often asked, “What are your beauty must-haves?” After owning it all and then narrowing it down, I’ve found that these 10 items are the beauty must-haves for a woman of any age.

Moisturize 2 of 11
It is so important to keep your skin hydrated. The key to youthful looking skin is HYDRATION. When hydrated, the skin is plump and dewy instead of dry and weathered.
My Must Have: One Love Organics Skin Savior $68
Eye Cream 3 of 11
I am always shocked at how many women don't use eye cream. Your eyes are one of the first things that give your age away. The under eye area has some of the thinnest skin on your entire body, so you need to pamper it. If you aren't using an eye cream now, I suggest running out and buying one TODAY. Keep those crows' feet at bay.
My Must Have: Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm $48
Mascara 4 of 11
It's not the end of the world if you don't wear eye shadow or eyeliner, but when you use mascara, it opens up your eyes and makes them look 3x bigger. If I cut my list down to 5, mascara would still be on the top 5.
My Must Have: Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara $23
Concealer 5 of 11
Not everyone needs a full coverage foundation, and I personally prefer wearing tinted moisturizers, but everyone could use a good concealer to hide redness, blemishes, dark circles, etc. A little goes a long way, and it only takes a minute to apply.
My Must Have: Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer $32
Lip Balm 6 of 11
Pucker up pretty! No one wants to smooch a girl with chapped, flaky lips. Keep your lips hydrated with a conditioning lip balm day and night. I always keep one in my nightstand and handbag.
My Must Have: Eos Lip Balm $2.99
Night Cream 7 of 11
Night creams usually contain ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, or salicyclic acid, which all help your skin to increase cellular turnover (meaning new skin replaces older skin quicker). This is a must for anyone wanting to fight for youthful skin.
My Must Have: Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel $45
Lip Color 8 of 11
You don't need a full face of makeup on every day, but I find a pop of color on my lips makes me feel like a million bucks. Whether it's a sheer pink lip gloss or a red lipstick, it can make you suddenly look and feel all put together.
My Must Have: Nars Lipstick in Heat Wave $26
Conditioner 9 of 11
I don't think I know any woman that can live without hair conditioner. I personally think the key to beautiful locks is silky soft hair. So keep them gorgeous with a conditioner or hair mask a few times a week.
My Must Have: Loreal EverPure Moisture Masque $8.99
Rich Hand/Body Cream 10 of 11
Surprise, more hydration! Keep your body and hands hydrated with a lotion or body cream daily. It's best to apply lotion all over the body after you get out of the shower when your body is still damp. The lotion absorbs instantly into the skin.
My Must Have: Jason Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion $7.97
Tweezers 11 of 11
Did you know your eyebrows frame your face? Keep them cleaned up with a little tweezing here and there. No one likes a unibrow!
My Must Have: Tweezer Man Slant Tweezers $7-$15
