Tips and Products for Smudge-Proof MakeupKate Bryan
Whether it’s a wedding day, a special event, or any other time you want your makeup to look flawless, there are certain things you can do to ensure your look will be smudge-proof no matter how long you are wearing it.
It’s all about how you start and what products you start with. Primers are absolute essentials to a daily makeup routine, in my opinion, but are necessary on days where you need your makeup to last.
Primers are different from regular moisturizers in that they aren’t quite as oily or hydrating, but will help your makeup stick.
Similarly, a lip primer is very different than simply swiping chap stick across your lips. The primer will help lock your color in and prevent feathering.
Finally, tricks you can do after the makeup is applied, like dusting on a setting powder, or pressing powder against your lower lash line, will help your makeup look great all day or night.
