If you aren’t frightened yet, you should be! Here are 31 Spooky, Sweet and Savory Treats for Halloween!

One of the scariest things about Halloween, at least to me, is that Halloween and the parties leading up to the night of fright, are the official start to the holiday eating season. Baked goodies and adorable appetizers appear on platters as if by magic. The aisle at the market that used to be filled with coolers, rafts and charcoal briquettes has been transformed into a fun-sized candy aisle with all of your childhood favorites.

My advice? Admire the handy work of your talented friends and family. Marvel at their sublime icing skills and ability to turn hot dogs into mummies. Create your own crafty confections to share. And go ahead, try a little of everything… even the fun-sized stuff, for nostalgia’s sake. Just be sure to get in an additional lap or two around the block to stave off the extra calories.
