Scones: 5 Simple, Sweet and Flaky Recipes for Easter Brunch

I will never forget the first time I tried scones. It was 1983, I was 14 and my mom had taken me to the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C. Needless to say, it was love at first bite. A delicate, flaky scone is more appealing to me than a danish or a muffin. I love the subtlety of the sweet flavors which is preferable to being hit over the head with on overly sugary sticky bun.

The great thing about scones is they are so easy to make and you can easily modify the flavors. We thought they would make the perfect addition to your Easter Brunch this year. Here are 5 of our favorite recipes in the following slideshow.
