There is something about a little coffee drink on a winter afternoon that just always works. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I am slowly introducing myself to afternoon lattes and I am finding they really hit the spot around 3pm. I would much rather have one of those than a can of icky diet soda. As I enter this world of coffee drinks I am pleased to find there are several interesting and delicious options for things I can make at home in the afternoon. I find these all to give me just the right amount of energy to get me through the rest of the day without being overstimulating. Maybe this summer I’ll get back to drinking a simple glass of homemade iced tea in the afternoon, but while the temperature is hovering near freezing and the sky is dark by 4pm I’ll happily drink one of these!
