A Recipe for Two Rice Krispie TreatsKelsey Banfield
I am really excited to have so many different recipes I can start using to make only two of my favorite treats at a time. It is so much easier to make only two sweets because then I don’t need to negotiate on how many my daughter can have. It also means I am not tempted to overindulge. The other day I got out some marshmallows, butter, and rice cereal. I melted the marshmallows and butter together, added the cereal, and pressed them into ramekins to set. In just minutes I had made just enough for two crispy treats! After they had chilled in the fridge for about 20 minutes I was able to take them back out and enjoy. One for me, one for her – perfection!
Two Rice Krispie Treats
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 large marshmallows
2 cups puffed rice cereal
1. In a small saucepan melt the marshmallows and butter together over medium heat. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cereal until evenly incorporated.
2. Divide the mixture evenly amongst two 3-inch ramekins that have been sprayed liberally with cooking spray. Really press the mixture into the ramekins to the treats are nice and thick. Set them in the fridge to cool. When they are set use a butter knife to lift the treats out of the ramekins and enjoy.
