Enter for a Chance to Win a Philips Air Fryer!

Thanks to Philips for sponsoring this post.

For quite some time I have been very intrigued with air fryers. I like cooking fried foods at home, but it’s such a pain to heat up a big pot of oil and then have to either store or dispose of that oil when I’m done. The thought of being able to fry foods without a bunch of leftover oil is something I could get down with! When I had the chance to try out a Philips Viva Collection Air Fryer, I jumped!

I’ve had the Philips air fryer for about a month now and am really enjoying it. Our favorite food so far is {surprise surprise} French fries! I could have made five batches for my family and they would have still begged for more!

The air fryer uses what is called “Rapid Air” technology to fry food with little to no oil, which is easier and healthier. You can fry, grill, roast and even bake foods in the air fryer, which provides options for many types of foods and techniques. I was really happy the appliance came with a recipe booklet since I didn’t know where to begin with my new air fryer. The recipes are great and very helpful. The best part for me is that the air fryer is super easy to use and to clean!

There are only two things I don’t love about the air fryer that are good to keep in mind when considering a purchase. Its overall size is quite large, so make sure you have a big spot on the shelf to store it. Also, the basket that the food is cooked in is, thankfully, larger than I was expecting, but it’s still not huge. I was able to cook enough french fries for our young family of five, but there definitely weren’t any leftovers!

One quick tip when cooking food like chips or fries, make sure you cut things as uniformly as possible so that everything cooks evenly. And, when cooking food like fries, be sure to shake the basket a few times during the cooking process.

Overall, this is a fun appliance to experiment with. I almost forgot my favorite thing about it the air fryer is GREAT for reheating leftover fries! There is a BBQ restaurant near our home that we love. They serve a monstrous amount of French fries and we always have leftovers, but we have never been able to reheat them at home. The air fryer reheated the fries in just a few minutes and they were  as good as new. I know it’s funny but I was downright giddy when they came out of the basket!

You can purchase the Viva Air Fryer direct from Philips for $249.99 here. You can also find it on Amazon for $295.99. It is more expensive there, but it qualifies for Amazon Prime and delivery is faster.

The giveaway is now closed. The winner was Jessica, who said, “Mozzarella sticks, French fries, chicken fingers, egg rolls, & corn dogs!!”
