Extra Cheesy French Bread PizzaKelsey Banfield
When my parent’s used to leave my brother and I with a babysitter they would always give us frozen french bread pizza for dinner. For us it was a huge special treat and we could barely wait for our babysitter to retrieve it from the oven so we could dive right in.
These days I mostly make our pizza at home instead of buying it frozen. It’s just so easy to make at home, I’m not quite sure why my mom didn’t want to do it when we were young.
When making French bread pizza I use all the same ingredients I would for our regular pizzas, just bake it on top of a loaf of bread until the crust is extra crispy. It is a delightfully delicious dinner that everyone goes wild for! Just how I remember loving it, too.
Super Cheesy French Bread Pizza
1 loaf french bread, halved
1 jar pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella
1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
2. Spread the pizza sauce on top of the french bread slices, then top that with the cheese.
3. Bake the pizzas on a cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top of the cheese is bubbly and browned. Serve hot!
