If you’re racking your brain for healthy after-school snacks, you’re in luck. We’ve got one that your kiddos will love! Frozen Yogurt Bites are a brilliant way to get them to eat more fruit, and they’re so easy to make (your kids can even help)! Just pick up mini ice cube molds at the store and get ready to make some handy little treats.
The best part? There are only two ingredients in these healthy snacks! All you’ll need is your favorite vanilla yogurt (we prefer Greek) and fresh raspberries.
Here’s how to make them:
1. Slightly mash the berries with a fork — you’ll want some larger fruit pieces in your bites.
2. Combine the raspberries with the yogurt, mixing well.
3. Using a spatula, fill the ice cube molds with the yogurt mixture, then scrape off the excess.
4. Place in the freezer until thoroughly frozen, about 6 hour or overnight. Then pop the bites out of the ice cube molds and enjoy!
Notes: To store, place your yogurt bites in a small, resealable freezer-safe container or zip-top bag and return to freezer. They will last for up to 1 month.
We love keeping a bowl full of these sweet little bites in our freezer. It’s a great way to have a cool snack instantly accessible for my kids. They absolutely love grabbing a few frozen bites after school and whenever friends come over. Of course, I love that they love such a simple, healthy snack. This easy hack is a win-win for our whole family!
Note: any berries (fresh or frozen) work well in this recipe, but raspberries are easiest because they can be quickly mashed with a fork.
