Glitter Kiss-Me-I'm-Irish GLOSSBrooke McLay
How FUN is homemade lip gloss? Well, about twenty times more fun than it should be when you turn it green, stuff it with glitter, and offer it up with a label that says “Kiss Me I’m Irish”! The perfect way to welcome in St. Patrick’s Day!
Homemade Glitter Kiss Gloss
3 tablespoons beeswax (about 1 oz) (Buy it from Whole Foods)
2 tablespoons coconut oil
4 tablespoons shea butter
4 green candy melts
1 teaspoon green glitter (I prefer the very fine Martha Stewart brand of glitter)
18 lip balm containers (we used mini plastic bead containers, purchased from JoAnn)
5 drops of peppermint essential oil
1. Melt beeswax in a small pan over low heat. Add coconut oil, shea butter, candy melt, glitter, and essential oil to the mixture, if desired.
2. Using a small spoon, pour the melted liquid into your lip balm containers. Sprinkle a small amount of extra glitter on top of your gloss, if desired.
3. Cool completely to harden. Cover with cap and decorate or label if you’d like.
