Homemade Foodie Gifts Series #4: Sweet Onion Pepper Relishaggieskitchen
This homemade Sweet Onion and Pepper Relish from Reluctant Entertainer is on my list to make this year…where I live we still have lots of peppers in the markets coming in from the southern states, which makes me think that after that burst of cold weather last week I should probably grab them while they are still around and get to work.
Relishes like this make such great gifts, who wouldn’t love to have a jar of sweet and savory homemade relish in their pantry? There are many ways to serve this relish up, my favorite way is spooned over some cream cheese and served with crackers and fruit. What I love about this recipe is that it makes a good amount, about 24 jars. Having a nice batch like this on hand is so nice during the holiday entertaining season because you can easily bring a jar to any gathering as a wonderful hostess gift. Receiving something thoughtful and special like this is always remembered.
