Awhile ago I posted a recipe for homemade hot fudge sauce in 99 seconds or less, and it was a big success. Then today, when I wanted something like it, I remembered someone once told me the ridiculously easy way of making peanut butter sauce for an ice cream sundae. He actually got the secret from one of the waitresses at Friendly’s—that ice cream shop back east.
Maybe she thought my friend was cute when he begged her for the recipe, but she showed him, and now I know. And now, all of you will know, too.
Peanut Butter Sundae Sauce
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (I like Skippy or Jif’s All-Natural, no-need to stir varieties)
Place peanut butter in a microwave safe container, and microwave on high for 25 seconds. Stir until smooth and pour over ice cream.
Sprinkle with salted peanuts, if desired.
