Peanut and Tree-Nut Free Halloween Candy

Having a child with a life-threatening allergy can be terrifying, and it can make holidays that are largely focused on forbidden treats, like Halloween, even harder on kids that often sense they’re different in the first place.

If you’re the parent of a child with a peanut or tree nut allergy, consider swapping out their bag of candy for a bag of “safe” candy or making sure they know to let you sort it before digging in. (Tips via goodLife {eats}, who has a child with a peanut allergy. Thanks, Katie!)
