Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sauce

During my grab whatever is in the panty and put it on my ice cream as topping experiment I tried just straight peanut butter and I didn’t love it. I was not about to give up on the peanut butter ice cream combo and decided to do a bit more exploring. Another call into my equally sweets and ice cream loving mom, lead me to this peanut buttery marshmallowy sweet goodness. Hey, mom it worked and it’s a big hit, you gotta try it!

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sauce

1/3 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or go for crunchy if that’s your thing)

1/2 cup marshmallow creme

1 teaspoon vanilla

Heat the milk and brown sugar on low until sugar is just resolved and combined with milk. Add the peanut butter, stir to combine, then the marshmallow and stir. Turn off the heat and add the vanilla and stir until smooth and cream. Allow to cool and serve over ice cream.
