Healthy Spring Food Art for Snack Time

Fun Food Art

Celery Snail


  • Celery stalk
  • Cucumber
  • Chives
  • Cheerios
  • Cream Cheese


  1. Cut a 3-inch piece of celery.
  2. Slice a piece of cucumber, then cut it in half.
  3. Cut chives for antennas.
  4. Spread cream cheese inside the celery. Place cucumber to create snail shell. Place two cheerios to create eyes and two pieces of chives to create antennas.

Grape Flowers


  • Red grapes
  • Green grapes
  • Vanilla cookies
  • Vanilla frosting
  • Blackberry
  • Raspberry


  1. Cut 3 red and 3 green grapes in half.
  2. Spread a thin layer of vanilla frosting on 2 cookies.
  3. Place a blackberry in the center of one, followed by 6 red grape halves.
  4. Place a raspberry in the center of the other, followed by 6 green grapes.

Orange Slice Butterfly

  • Orange
  • Toothpicks
  • Green grapes
  • Blueberry
  • Vanilla frosting


  1. Slice a piece of orange, then cut into 4 pieces.
  2. Slide 3 grapes onto toothpick.
  3. Put a second toothpick through the center grape (forming a “t” shape with the toothpicks). Attach an orange slice to each side to create wings.
  4. Add a blueberry to the top to create the butterfly’s head. Draw eyes with vanilla frosting and a toothpick.

Grape Caterpillar


  • Green grapes
  • Strawberry
  • Bamboo skewer
  • Vanilla frosting
  • Toothpick


  1. Slide seven grapes horizontally through the bamboo skewer.
  2. Place a strawberry on top to create the head.
  3. Draw eyes and a smile using vanilla frosting and toothpick.
