The Best Lemon Square RecipeBrooke McLay
Does springtime make you crave the fresh taste of lemons? Well, it does me. So, I pulled the kiddies together this weekend for a session of cooking up sweet and tangy lemon squares. This recipe is the best I’ve ever found. A simple, shortbread crust is topped with a creamy lemon topping. No matter how many lemon bars you’ve made in your life, I can almost guarantee this recipe will become your all-time favorite.
Absolutely the Best Lemon Bars
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- dash salt
- 2 cups flour
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup of powdered sugar for dusting
In a 9×13 glass pan, use a fork to combine all the crust ingredients together then press the crust into the bottom of the pan. Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, whisk together the filling and pour over the cooked crust. Return to the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
