Jennifer Hudson has been making headlines most recently for her ever-shrinking waistline (find out how much weight Jennifer lost below), but how much do you know about this former American Idol?

I’ve been following Jennifer Hudson since she first appeared on season three of Idol, and thought she was obviously robbed during the competition.

But, guess what? Jennifer persevered and won herself a bunch o’ awards, went on to a very successful recording and acting career, had an adorable baby… and yes, dropped a bunch of pounds.

    Jennifer Hudson came in seventh place on American Idol. Robbed, she was! One of the reasons cited for Jennifer Hudson's Idol boot was said to be due to a power outage in Chicago, her hometown.

    Prior to American Idol, Hudson sang on a Disney cruise ship, the Disney Wonder. Hudson was part of the christening of the newest Disney cruise ship, Disney Dreams, in 2011.
