12 Celebrities Who Were Once School Teachers (Photos)

It’s back to school time! Have you cried dropping off your kids at kindergarten yet??

Speaking of our kids and back to school, let’s talk about teachers, shall we? Teaching might be one of the most demanding jobs on the planet, but at the same time, it’s one of the most rewarding as well. Before I became a mother and writer, I taught English as a foreign language in Europe, and let me tell you, it was an experience I’ll never forget. Sure, trying to handle a dozen or so children at once can be a handful (and very stressful), but knowing that you’re making a difference in someone’s life and teaching them skills that they will one day apply on their own is beyond fulfilling as well.

Not everyone is fit to be a teacher, but there are many special people out there who make it their mission to change one student’s life at a time, and for that, we are eternally thankful. Teachers definitely deserve much more recognition than they receive these days, if you ask me. Check out our photo gallery below of celebrities who started off as teachers before making it big in Hollywood, and tell us: do you remember a certain teacher that made an impact on your life while you were still in school? Also, could you imagine someone like Jon Hamm or Hugh Jackman being your teacher? Man, I would be doing my homework every day if that were the case!
