Yes, it has finally happened. Jessica Simpson has given birth. Many had penned that her pregnancy seemed like the longest gestation ever, but babies have to eventually come out…they can’t live in their mommy’s bellies forever!

On Tuesday morning, May 1st, Jessica and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their first baby a girl named Maxwell Drew Johnson.  Here are five things about their new arrival from why they picked the name and how big baby Maxwell was at birth!     It had been leaked quite a while ago that the couple would name their baby girl Maxwell, and although many a celebrity rumor is wrong this one wasn't. "They're going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short," a friend of the family told the tabloid. InTouch also noting that, "Maxwell is Eric's middle name, and also his beloved grandma's maiden name." And they wanted something "with meaning."

    According to US Weekly, the two picked Drew to honor Jessica's family her maternal grandmother, Tina Simpson maiden name was Drew.

    There had been much speculation that Jessica would be giving birth to a giant baby, but Maxwell came into the world under the ten pound mark! She was born at 9 lbs. 13 ounces. And as for height she came in at 21' ¾" inches.
