Bravos Real Housewives Kids: Should They Even Be On Television? (Photos)

The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice's daughters

What’s worse than being a child in Hollywood with the spotlight always shining on you, whether you’d want it there or not?  We think it’s being a child on reality television.

And what’s worse than being a child on reality television?  Why, appearing on any one of Bravo Network’s Real Housewives series.

Through our research, we just can’t find anything positive about being on television with your mom and dad making total fools out of themselves in front of the entire country.

Following today’s tragic news of the death of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hill’s Russell Armstrong, – which has surely rocked the entire franchise – we can’t help but wonder, shouldn’t the children of reality television stars be taken off the shows?  Haven’t they suffered enough?  The cat fights, the divorces, the bankruptcies, the custody battles… you name it, they’ve seen it.

We couldn’t imagine being Danielle Staub’s kids or Teresa Giudice’s daughters (can you imagine the bullying that they probably deal with at school?) or any of the stars’ children for that matter.  It’s one thing to look back at your childhood memories in an old film or photo album, but to have it all on television for the country to see is probably something the kids don’t want to look back on when they’re older.

What do you think?  Should children be allowed to be taped on reality television shows?  Are these shows helping document their childhood or harming it instead?

Check out our slideshow of some of the Real Housewives’ kids with their parents and tell us your thoughts.

So far it looks like the only sound housewife of the franchise, Bethenny Frankel, seems to have it pulled together (and let's hope it stays that way). She has one daughter, one-year-old Bryn.

Kelly Bensimon and her daughters, Shea and Thadeus. We're sure her girls suffered some pretty bad humiliation after watching their mother suffer a mental breakdown on the Real Housewives of New York.

Taylor Armstrong and her daughter, Kennedy. Mom Taylor spent a pretty penny on her daughter's birthday party on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but seemed more preoccupied on entertaining herself than her daughter, the birthday girl.

Jacqueline Laurita and her youngest son, Nicholas. Jacqueline's parenting skills were put into question after her daughter Ashley assaulted co-star Danielle Staub during the taping of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Camille Grammar's messy divorce and custody battle has made headlines and her cat fights with her co-stars on the show hasn't helped her reputation, either.

Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino allegedly left a stroller with two of her three children in it unattended and it rolled into a pool according to security at The Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, Calif.

It has been reported that Danielle Staub's daughters were bullied at school because of their mother's questionable behavior while on the show.

Melissa Gorga's children (here pictures with their grandparents) had to witness a pretty bad fight during a christening party on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Kim Zolciak, here pictured with her son Kroy, had some pretty heated battles and fights with her castmates in front of her two daughters while on the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Alex McCord's family is also prominently featured on the Real Housewives of New York. We can't help but think what her sons will think of their mom's nutty behavior on the show in the future.
