British Politician Says Kate Middleton Getting Pregnant Would Be Good For The British EconomyJoanna Mazewski
As my 4-year-old would say, holy moly guacamole. Could you imagine being so pressured into getting pregnant that the whole country is even counting on you to do so… to help the economy? Yeah, and here we were all thinking that marrying Prince Charming would mean we’ve got it made, right?
Well if your name is Kate Middleton, aka Duchess of Cambridge, the entire world has been on womb watch 2012 hoping that you’ve produced a royal baby already bu so far it’s been nothing. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but when your local politicians start pressuring you into getting pregnant, now that’s a whole different story.
Now, members of the British Parliament are even putting on the pressure for the Duchess to get pregnant with one saying that it would even be good for the economy if there was a royal pregnancy. Here’s what we’re reading for The Telegraph:
The remarks, which appear to be speculation rather than any insider knowledge, were made during a debate at the Duchess’ former school Marlborough College.
Speaking as part of a panel, MP Claire Perry told an audience of more than 250 people: “I think Kate Middleton is pregnant and that would be good for the economy.”
Her outspoken comments have already been condemned as “unhelpful” and “none of her business” by Royal observers.
What do you think? Were the comments made out of line?
