Real Housewife Of New Jersey Danielle Staub: "I'm Not Ready To Come Out Of The Closet"Mara Siegler
Some stars raised their media profile by making and accidentally or intentionally releasing an illicit tape (See: Kim Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, Paris Hilton). Others, come out as lesbians (See: Lindsay Lohan, Anne Heche). Danielle Staub, the woman who functions as Real Housewives of New Jersey’s attention seeking missile, is doing both! Just weeks after self-releasing a naughty movie, she is proclaiming her love for the gay community and causing a stir that she may be a lesbian.
“I haven’t even begun my work in the gay community yet,” Danielle tells Fox News. “I want to go to senate, I want to pass a bill and get gay marriage legalized. I go to events, I march in rallies. I’ve been a part of the gay community for 30 years. Since birth, my daughters have been a part of the gay community. From teachers to friends, these are the people they are surrounded by.”
I think it’s great that Danielle is embracing the gay community and is teaching her daughters about acceptance, but this just reeks of self-promotion. If you are going to come out, come out. If you are not, then don’t tease at it.
As for whether or not she is attracted to women, she states: “I’m not ready to say that one way or the other. Right now my focus is on my kids, but there is room for one more person in my world. Hopefully soon the world will see that.”
