UPDATE: It was announced on June 6th, 2016 that Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson has passed away at the age of 42. Bellator MMA announced his death in a statement made by Bellator president Scott Coker saying:
“We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating and untimely loss of Kimbo Slice, a beloved member of the Bellator family. One of the most popular MMA fighters ever, Kimbo was a charismatic, larger-than-life personality that transcended the sport.
Outside of the cage he was a friendly, gentle giant and a devoted family man. His loss leaves us all with extremely heavy hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ferguson family and all of Kimbo’s friends, fans, and teammates.”

Kimbo Slice is alive and well!
Single dad and mixed martial arts fighter Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson was the latest victim of the ongoing Twitter death hoax overnight. The only catch was that Kimbo Slice is alive and posting his very own messages on the social network to help put the rumor to rest.
“I’m straight y’all. Thnkx for the concern. Some1 else with the same name passed away earlier from my old neighborhood,” Slice tweeted overnight. The fact that this rumor might have had a grain of truth to it makes it no less cruel for the fans, family, and friends of the mixed martial arts fighter!
Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson a mixed martial artist (MMA) who is famous for his street fights. This street fighter attempted to make the leap to Ultimate Fighter in a bout against veteran fighter Roy Nelson and was defeated. He is now working to transition to boxer and is expected to make his debut fight in 2011.
Out of the ring, Ferguson has his hands full as a single father to six children – three sons and three daughters. He may be a familiar face to your kids too after appearing as the character Bludge on Nickelodeon’s holiday special, Merry Christmas Drake & Josh.
